Join Hannah Teslin and Melanie Pascal Heiss on July 5th to 7th for a fun girly wine weekend along the stunning Rhein River in Rheingau!  The whole weekend will be a guided tour led by a knowledgeable Sommelier (Melanie) and host (Hannah), where every detail is taken care of for you when arrive in in the region! 💜

What’s in store for you?

• July 5 - 7, 2024 in & around Rüdesheim am Rhein
• 2 nights with breakfast at AKZENT Waldhotel Rheingau
• All meals during your stay, incl. a dinner with the views of the fireworks during ‘Rhein in Flammen’
• Boat tour cruising along the river, with breathtaking scenic views
• Wine walks where you’ll explore 3+ exquisite vineyards and enjoy tastings of their finest wines from the region
• Tour guides and sommelier by your side for the entire journey
• Connect with like-minded women in a stunning setting

Preliminary Agenda*:

July 5th 

• 3:00 pm: Check into hotel
• 4:00 pm: Visit a Winery with a local selection of matching snacks & Tour of Rüdesheim
• 7:00 pm: Dinner Menu with Guided Wine Workshop

The hotel has a spa & wellness that you are welcome to use before you check in for an extra cost

July 6th

• 9:00 am: Breakfast at the hotel
• 10:00 am: Winery Walking Tour, starting from the hotel
• 12:30 pm: Wine Lunch
• Afternoon: Rhein Boat Tour & Free time in Rüdesheim
• 6:00 pm: Hilltop Garden Dinner with a view of 'Rhein in Flammen' fireworks and a scenic Rheinggau valley view with a guided Wine Tasting led by Melanie

July 7th

• 9:00 am: Breakfast at the hotel
• 11:00 am: Check out of hotel & farewells

If you would like to check out or stay longer and use the wellness/spa area, you are welcome but check with the front desk for the extra cost.

3. Secure your train tickets or choose your preferred mode of transportation, and relax knowing that everything will be arranged for you during your Wine Retreat—including accommodation, meals, most beverages, transportation during the tour, and planned activities.

Prices start at 650 EUR PP for two persons in a shared room, with single-room options available at an additional cost of 50 EUR per night.  Rooms with two beds are first come, first serve.

More about Melanie Pascal Heiss

Recognized for her innovative work, Melanie's journey from her Italian roots to her current role as a leader in the Austrian culinary scene reflects her unwavering dedication to sharing her love for food and drinks with others, one sip and bite at a time.

Melanie Pascal Heiss, originally from Merano, Italy, and now living in Salzburg, is a sommelier and sensory analyst for delicious food and beverage products and the founder of Tasting Atelier, Austria's second-biggest wine and culinary school. She started her journey in the world of food and drinks quite early, discovering her love for wine and food education when she was just 14, attending her first lesson to become a sommelier.

In 2019, she launched Tasting Atelier, which focuses on teaching people about the flavors they love, using a hands-on approach to education with a background in research of taste and food science. Usually pulling the strings in the background allowing her experts to teach in person, Melanie shares her love for wine, food, and educational technology by teaching virtually from her travels around the world, exploring new tastes, research, and products to introduce at Tasting Atelier educational tasting classes.

• How do I get to the destination?

The AKZENT Waldhotel Rheingau is a short taxi or bus ride away from Rüdesheim or Geisenheim Train stations. We will organize a WhatsApp group so guests can take trains together or share a taxi to the hotel (taxi fare to/from the hotel is not included on check-in/out days).

• What hotel are we in and what does it look like? ​We are in the AKZENT Waldhotel Rheingau, a 4-star wellness hotel directly overviewing the woods and vineyards.

• What if I need to cancel my booking?

Cancellations made before June 1st will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made after June 1st are non-refundable. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hannah@hannahteslin.com

• Can I request a single room?

Yes, single-room options are available at an additional cost of 50 EUR per night.

​

• Will I have a private bathroom?

Yes, all rooms have private bathrooms. If you have a roommate, you will have to share the bathroom.

​

• Can I bring my dog?

Small dogs are allowed in the hotel and on the tour, unfortunately, big dogs must stay at home.​

​

• What if I haven't selected a roommate for a double room?

If you have selected a double room and have not specified a preference for your roommate, we will assign a roommate for you based on compatibility and shared interests.

​

• What happens if there are changes to the itinerary?

The itinerary is subject to change, especially due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Any significant changes to the itinerary will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.

• Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans.

​

• Are there any health and safety precautions I should be aware of?

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are fit to travel and participate in all activities. We will be doing a lot of walking, eating and drinking. Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or special needs.

• Can I use the wellness/spa at the hotel?

Yes, you can use the wellness/spa facilities at the hotel, but there is an extra cost. Payment can be made at the front desk.

• What language will the tour be in?

The tour will be in English but Melanie speaks English, German and Italian in case you need a translation.​

​

• What if I have allergies?

If you have any allergies, please inform us in the booking form, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
