Terms and Conditions - Free Membership and WhatsApp Group

1. Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals who meet the criteria outlined by BBA. By joining, you confirm that you are 18+, female-identifying or +LGBTQIA, live abroad or aspire to, and are a career-driven professional. We are also happy when local international-minded women join us as well!

2. Membership Confirmation: Upon successful verification, members will gain access to our WhatsApp group and the members' area on our website.

3. Code of Conduct:

   • No Spam: Members agree not to engage in spamming activities or share unsolicited content.

   • No Advertising: The community is a space for genuine connection, and members shall refrain from promoting products, services, or external events.

   • No Personal Promotion: Members agree not to promote non-BBA events or offers without consent from the admins or otherwise allowed on specific days. Admins reserve the right to delete promotions that are not approved.

   • No Apartment Search Requests: Requests for apartments or rooms in a shared flat are not allowed unless otherwise stated by the admins. Apartment offers are allowed.

   • No Personal Information Sharing: Protect your privacy and the privacy of others by refraining from sharing personal contact details within the group as well as outside the group. Do not share personal information of community members outside of the community without their explicit consent.

4. Use of WhatsApp Groups: Members who join our WhatsApp group agree that their phone numbers and any public information available on their WhatsApp profile will be visible to other members of the group, including administrators. They have the option to leave the group at any time, and we are not responsible for who has access to this information.

5. Access to Member Directory and Events: When you register for our member directory and events, your name will be by default disclosed to other registered users. If you do not want your name to be visible to other participants, you can change the setting in your profile by editing your profile and selecting what information you would like to be shown publicly by clicking on the globe icon next to each entry, or by making your profile private.

6. GDPR Compliance: Personal Data Handling: Your personal data in our website's members' area will be handled with care and can be deleted upon your request.

7. Content Responsibility: We are not responsible for the content shared within the WhatsApp group. Members are encouraged to exercise discretion and report any inappropriate content to the administrators.

8. Liability: BBA is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or participation in the WhatsApp group.

9. Community Respect: Treat fellow members with respect and kindness. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of offensive behavior will not be tolerated.

10. Membership Termination: BBA reserves the right to terminate or suspend memberships for individuals who violate these terms or engage in disruptive behavior.

11. Photography Consent: By attending events, you agree that we may take photographs and use them on our social channels. If you have concerns, please inform us before the event.

12. Changes to Terms: BBA reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes.

General Event Terms and Conditions

By registering for and attending any events hosted by BBA (referred to as the "Event"), I hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Liability Release: I agree to release and hold harmless BBA, its sponsors, and their employees, vendors, agents, representatives, and contractors (collectively referred to as "Representatives") from any alleged and/or actual liability, claims, lawsuits, damages, or losses of any kind ("Claim") that may arise out of or result from my attendance and participation in the Event, including but not limited to property damage and personal injuries, whether or not foreseeable.

2. Event Changes: I understand that the Event program schedule is subject to change at any time without prior notice. BBA cannot guarantee the attendance of any exhibitor or speaker, or that any scheduled event will take place. Additional terms may be presented in communication by BBA as required by the venue or service providers prior to the event.

3. Cancellation or Modification: I agree that BBA will not be held liable, and no reimbursement will be made, in the event of the cancellation or modification of the times, dates, and/or events of the Event due to circumstances beyond BBA’s control.

4. Media Release: BBA or its authorized Representatives may be photographing, video recording, webcasting, podcasting, and/or conducting interviews at the Event. I grant BBA and its authorized Representatives the absolute right and permission to use my name, likeness, biographical information, voice, content, or any interview, image, and/or photograph for trade, advertising, and/or promotional purposes.

5. Registration and Entry: BBA reserves the right to deny registration or entry to any individual or entity for any reason in its sole discretion, including past or present failure to meet BBA’s standard of business conduct.

6. Age Requirement: I affirm that I am 18 years or older, and this is a requirement for attending any program or activity at the Event.

7. Non-Assignability: I understand that my registration to the Event is non-assignable and non-transferable.

8. Badge Policy: Sharing, swapping, and/or trading badges during the Event is against policy. Violators will be asked to leave the Event immediately.

9. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made in writing to team@bbacommunity.com 30 days before the event starts. BBA will refund 100% of the registration fee if notified by this date. No refunds will be processed after this date.

10. Data Sharing: I acknowledge that my registration data may be shared with sponsors of the Event. By registering, I consent to sponsors contacting me after the Event for promotional purposes.

BBA Plus Membership Terms and Conditions
 

Welcome to the BBA Plus Membership, designed exclusively for our empowered community of international professionals living in Germany! Before you embark on this journey with us, please review the following terms and conditions.

 

1. Membership Benefits:

FREE (select) coworking sessions and workshops.

FREE (select) book clubs.

FREE select friendship tables.

First access to all BBA events, including exclusive member-only events.

20% discount on 'Sh*t Happens Night'.

More exclusive event discounts throughout the year.

Self-promotion every Friday via our WhatsApp group.
 

2. Membership Duration and Renewal:

The BBA Plus Membership is valid for one year from the date of registration.

Membership will automatically renew on an annual basis unless cancelled by the member.

Membership cancellation can be done yearly and must be requested before the next renewal date.

3. Payment:

The membership fee is 59 EUR per year.

Payment is to be made in full at the time of registration and annually upon renewal.

Payments are non-refundable.

4. Event Access:

Members receive first access to events, subject to availability.

RSVP is required to secure spots for events.

Exclusive member-only events may have limited capacity.

5. Discounts:

Discounts are applicable to specified events, courses, and additional selected BBA events throughout the year.

Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions or offers.

 

6. Free Events:

FREE (select) coworking sessions and workshops.

FREE (select) book clubs and friendship tables.

Registration may be required for free events, and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

If a member signs up for a free event but cancels late or doesn’t attend, the member will be charged the value of the ticket.

7. Cancellation Policy for Free Events:

Members must cancel at least 24 hours in advance if they cannot attend a free event.

Failure to cancel on time or no-shows will result in the member being charged the ticket value.

Free and discounted tickets are not transferable to non-members of BBA Plus.

8. Self-Promotion Fridays:

Members can share achievements, promotions, or business updates every Friday via the BBA WhatsApp group.

Content shared must align with BBA's community standards and guidelines.

9. Membership Cancellation:

Members can cancel their membership annually before the renewal date.

Cancellation requests should be submitted through the Wix platform.

10. Changes to Terms:

BBA reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time.

Group Tour Event Policies

**Event Terms and Conditions:**

 

- **Booking and Payment:**

  - Prices start at 650 EUR PP for two persons in a shared room.

  - Rooms with two beds are first come, first serve.

  - A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due by a specified date.

  

- **Room Assignments:**

  - If you have selected a double room and have not specified a preference for your roommate, we will assign a roommate for you

  

- **Cancellation Policy:**

  - Cancellations made before May 2nd, 2024, will receive a 50% refund when paid in full.

  - Cancellations made after May 2nd, 2024, are non-refundable.

  - All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to team@bbacommunity.com.

  

- **No Refunds Policy:**

  - If someone chooses not to join any of the meals, beverages, or tours/activities, they will not be refunded.

  

- **Transportation:**

  - Transportation to and from the destination will not be provided. The AKZENT Waldhotel Rheingau is a short taxi or bus ride away from Rüdesheim or Geisenheim Train stations. We will organize a WhatsApp group so guests can share a taxi to the hotel (taxi fare to/from hotel is not included during check in & out).

  - Once you arrive at the hotel, all transportation during the tour and planned activities will be taken care of for you.

  

- **Wellness/Spa:**

  - Guests can use the wellness/spa facilities at the hotel at an extra cost, payable at the front desk.

  

- **Photography and Social Media:**

  - We will be taking photos during the event for promotional purposes and posting them on social media.

  - If you do not wish to be photographed or featured on our social media channels, please let us know on-site.

  

- **Health and Safety:**

  - Participants are responsible for ensuring they are fit to travel and participate in all activities.

  - Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or special needs.

  - We count on people to know their limits with drinking & activities and listen to the tour guides for instructions. Participants are free to determine their own limits.

  

- **Changes to Itinerary:**

  - The itinerary is subject to change, especially due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

  - Any significant changes to the itinerary will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.

  

- **Travel Insurance:**

  - We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans.

  

- **Liability:**

  - Participants are responsible for their own actions during the trip.

  - The organizers are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury that may occur during the trip.

  

- **Force Majeure:**

  - The organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the trip in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or other disruptions.

  - In such cases, participants will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund minus any non-refundable expenses already incurred.
